Caleb Wayne Rose Sr., 35, of Pocola, died Monday, March 19, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau. Cremation services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home.

Dortha Evelyn Miller, 83, of Heavener died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Heavener. Services are planned for 4 p.m.. Friday, March 30, in the Dowden Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Reichert Cemetery.
Billie Pearl Goodrich, 85, of Talihina died Monday, March 26, 2012, at her home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Whitesboro Assembly of God. Burial will be in Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Bobbie Lee Pope, 97, of the Howe-Glendale community, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, in Pocola.
Bobbie, a longtime area resident, was born Oct. 14, 1914, in Uvalde, Texas, to Burton and Eleanor (Applewhite) Bridges. She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Pope.

Denver Ray Chronister, 83, of Wister died Monday, March 26, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29, at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister. Burial will be inn San Bois Cemetery, Kinta, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.

Sue Wortham, 86, of Broken Arrow, formerly of Spiro, died Sunday, March 25, 2012. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 30, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel, Spiro. Burial will be in San Bois Cemetery, Kinta.
Jean E. Simkins, 85, of Conway, Ark., died March 25, 2012. Born April 19, 1926, in Malvern, Ark., she was the daughter of George R. and Amanda Thompson Britt. A member of Zion Baptist Church, she taught at Arkansas School for the Blind for over 20 years before retiring in 1987 then taught at the Mayflower School District for a number of years. She loved her grandchildren, church, reading and soap operas.
