Lois Russell, 92, of Spiro died Monday, April 30, 2012. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Leeâ€™s Chapel. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery, Muldrow, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.
Floyd Russell Clinton, 65, of Rock Island died Friday, April 27, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at Ellis Chapel Cemetery, Wister, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Laverne Henson, 70, of Cameron died Friday, April 27, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.Â She was born Jan. 11, 1942, at Mena, Ark., to James Cornelius and Gertrude L. (Mills) Moore.Â She was a faithful Jehovahâ€™s Witness since September 1961.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Imajene Bryant.Â
Laverne is survived by her husband, Dorsey Wayne Henson of the home; a brother, James R. Moore of Cameron; a sister Norma Evans of Poteau; numerous nieces and nephews; other family, friends and loved ones. Â
Earl C. Seaton, 88, of Spiro, died Saturday, April 28, 2012, in Spiro.Â Earl was born Oct. 7, 1923, in Lavaca, Ark., to O.H. and Elvia (Wise) Seaton.Â He was a U.S. Army veteran. Earl was a mechanic, working at Turman-Pierce for years.Â He was a farmer and rancher.Â Earl was a wonderful father and grandfather.
David White, 64, of Talihina died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at the Falfa Baptist Church with Carrol Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Old Town Cemetery, Tuskahoma, under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
David Eugene Taylor, 68, of Spiro died Tuesday, April 24, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, at Mallory-Martin Chapel under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.
Dorthy Ann Williams, 84, of Pocola died peacefully at home with her family on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.Â Dorthy was born March 15, 1928, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Albert Lee and Elva (Howard) Beshears.Â
She worked in civil service for 24 years and retired from the FAA Center in Oklahoma City after 19 years.Â
Dorthy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donnie Beshears; son-in-law, Don DeSelms; grandson-in-law, Stephen Medley.Â Her love for her family and her faith is a legacy that her children and grandchildren cherish and value.
Anna Leota Bridgman, 79, longtime resident of Okmulgee, died Monday, April 23, 2012, in Okmulgee.Â She was born in Fanshawe to Solomon and Emily (Dodd) Goss Jr. on Sept. 5, 1932.Â She married Kenneth Bridgman in Fanshawe on June 1, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dorothy Mae Crims; one brother, N.E. Goss; and a stepbrother, Donald.
Raymond Jesse Akins, 83, of Keota died Sunday, April 22, 2012. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Cowlington Baptist Church. Burial will be in Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Maxine Hembree, 84, of Heavener died Monday, April 23, 2012. Maxine was born April 15, 1928, in Heavener to Edward and Elizabeth Hall. She was a graduate of DeQueen High School and attended Henderson State College. Maxine was a member of First United Methodist Church in Heavener, worked at State National Bank and was a Cub Scout den mother. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hembree.
