Kimmi Sarah Massey, 26,of Poteau died Saturday, July 21, 2012, in Poteau. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at the House of Hope Church in Poteau under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
John “Sonnie” Fullen, 64, of Shady Point died Thursday, July 26, 2012, in Fort Smith. Sonnie was born July 9, 1948, in Poteau to John Hoyt and Modean (Seaborn) Fullen. He was a general contractor. Sonnie was a member of the Calhoun Baptist Church and the Poteau Masonic Lodge.Â

Marie F. "Reedy" Gothard, 88, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She was born Dec. 14, 1923, in Colorado to Eva E. and Joseph B. Finley. Â She was married to Arch G. Gothard II, in Wheatridge, Colo., on April 11, 1939.
July 25th
Duane Wood, loving father, grandfather, and brother passed from this life and went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23, 2012, at the age of 74.
Born Sept. 20, 1937, in Wilburton, he was the son of Edgar Scott and Jessie (Ray) Wood. He grew up in Wilburton and graduated from WHS in 1955. Duane married his high school sweetheart, Saundra Callahan, on June 29, 1957; she preceded him in death in 2004.

Paul Uselton, 88, of Talihina died Sunday, July 22, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at the Talihina Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Carmon Ramsey, 89, of Heavener died Tuesday, July 24, in Heavener. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 26, in Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, with burial in Summerfield Cemetery.
Phyllis A. Agee, 48, of Pocola died Sunday, July 22, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 26, at Trinity Baptist Church in Pocola. Burial will be in Short Mountain Cemetery, Cowlington, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Michael Kelly Frye, 54, of Chicago, formerly of Poteau, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, in Chicago.
Audrey “Opal” Bowers, 83, of Buck Creek died Monday, July 23, in Fort Smith, Ark.

Billy Mecom, 76, of Tulsa died Monday, July 23, 2012, in Tulsa. A funeral service will held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, with graveside services at 2 p.m. in Fairview Cemetery, Spiro. Moore’s Eastlawn Chapel, Tulsa, is handling arrangements.
