Nancy Melinda Lyons, 75, of Arkoma died Thursday, July 19. Services were held Saturday, July 21, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial in New Hope Cemetery, Spiro.
Thomas James “Tom” Payne, 85, of Poteau died July 22, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Tom was born May 1, 1927, in Paris, Texas, to Grady and Lidia (George) Payne. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was retired from OG&E. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and son, Tommy Ray Payne.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of the home; daughters, Linda Williams of Poteau, Susan Salmaran of Ypsilanti, Mich., Brenda McDonald of Owasso; son, Bill Newnam of Poteau; Steve Wedding of Tulsa;Â eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; other relatives and loved ones.
Larry Gene “Joe” Gullick, 63, of Wister died Sunday, July 22, 2012, in Wister.
He was born Sept. 18, 1948, at Poteau to Roy Wilton Sr. and Martha Ann (Barnes) Gullick. He was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy Gullick Jr. and James Ray Gullick; five sisters, Anna Florence James, Mary Francis (Betty) Heavener, Carolyn Sue “Susie” Rutledge-Pennington, Freda Wood and Rita Stien.

J.C. Palmer, 88, of Keota died Monday, July 16, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 20, in Keota City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.

Karenann Smith, 52, of Spiro died Sunday, July 15, 2012. Services will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, July 20, in the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro.
Donnita Maria Neeley, 66, of Howe died Sunday, July 14, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, Monroe.

Dan Harrell Pilkington, 63, of Jay, formerly of Poteau, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, in Grove. Dan was born July 8, 1949, in Poteau to Fred Harrell and Freda (Evans) Pilkington. Dan was the former owner of APGO Drilling and Production Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Pilkington and Freda Watkins; son, Shon Pilkington; and sister, Jan Pilkington Graham.
Mary Ola Bloxom Holland, 68, of Panama, formerly of Mena, Ark., died Friday, July 6, 2012, in Panama.
Mary was born Feb. 25, 1944, in Virginia to Rufus and Ola (Higdon) Bloxom. She was preceded in death by her parents and one great-grandson, Ayden Blake.
She loved raising flowers, fishing and painting artwork.
She is survived by her companion, Clyde Johnson of the home; one daughter, Margaret Marshall of Fort Smith, Ark.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Ward, Joshua Peters, Ericka and Tiffany Marshall; four great-grandchildren, Anthony, Brian, Ivy and Alex.
