Doris Deane (Smith) Pringle, 75, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, in Tulsa.
Doris was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Poteau to Gilford Smith and Helen (Jenkins) Smith. She received her diploma in nursing and worked as a registered nurse for 45 years.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Gilford and Helen Smith; her son, Scott; and her sister, Connie.

Florita Marie Lord, 66, of Heavener died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with burial in Conser Cemetery, Hodgen.
Cheryl Lynn Janssen, 57, of Howe died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, in Poteau. No services are planned. Online condolences may be left at the Dowden Funeral Home website, dowdenfh.com.
Sonny Davis, 90, of Talihina died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, in Talihina.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the Talihina High School Auditorium with Cecil Holcomb and Don Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Old Town Cemetery, Tuskahoma, under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.

Mental Lillian Balentine, 93, of Wister died Thursday, Aug. 16,2012 in Poteau.
Mental was born Oct. 19,1918, in Lone, Ark., to Benjamin and Luella (Farmer) Wann. Mental was a housewife who loved to visit with family and spoil her nieces and nephews. She worked many years operating an insurance agency and was a avid gardener who loved to grow beautiful flowers in her yard. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church, Wister.
Lani “Leilani” Berry, 68, of Howe died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener.

Jack Gray, 82, of Spiro died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, in Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.
Virginia Mae Moore, 81, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2012, in Poteau.
Virginia was born April 20, 1931, to Jack and Estell (Williams) Cheney. She married Dennis C. Moore on June 2, 1949. Virginia was baptized June 2, 1966. She loved her grandchildren and her ministry. She was a homemaker. Virginia was a Jehovah's Witness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Estell Cheney; brother, Sunny Cheney; and her husband of 50 years, Dennis C. Moore.

Alvin Sherdan Decker, 83, of Bokoshe died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at United Methodist Church in Bokoshe under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.
Patsy G. Bottoms,75, of Poteau died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.
