Benjamin Spencer â€śBuddyâ€ť Gossett, 59, of Heavener died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, in the Memorial Park Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home.
Sue Bryant, 65, of Spiro died Monday, Aug. 12, 2013. Services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro. Burial will be in Nubbin Rudge Cemetery.

Clifton Edward â€śJoeâ€ť Barnes, 84, of Heavener died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark.
No services are scheduled at this time. Dowden Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Terrell McIntosh, 52, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, in Tulsa.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, in the New Talihina Cemetery with Gary McCutchan officiating.Â Arrangements are under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Alfie L. Cooper, 81, of Spiro died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013.
Services will be held at noon Wednesday, Aug. 14, in the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Forest park Cemetery, Fort Smith, Ark.

Mary Lou House, 69, of Heavener died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, in Heavener. Mary was born July 24, 1944, in Big Cedar to James Lewis and Allie Elizabeth (Roberts) Branscum. She was a dietary specialist at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffery Stewart; five sisters and two brothers.
Leon Barnes, 79, of Cameron died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born, Oct. 21, 1933, in Pocola to Cooper Minor and Ruby Kathryn (Martin) Barnes. He was a rancher and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pocola.
Leon is preceded in death by his parents; wife Linda (Cunningham) Barnes; daughter Vanessa Barnes; sister Linda Kathryn; two brothers, Travis Gene and Bobby Ray.
Betty L. Shockley, 77, of Poteau died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, in Poteau.
Betty was born Jan. 2, 1936, in Clint, Texas, to Jesse B. and Bernice (Frey) Nichols. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her Facebook friends and researching family genealogy. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Shockley; her parents; and sister, Evelyn Nichols.
