David Alan Reed, 62, of Jackson, Miss., formerly of Poteau, died Monday, April 8, 2013, in Jackson. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Lennie Delassus, 75, of Poteau died Monday, April 8, 2013, in Poteau. No services are scheduled at this time. Evans and Miller Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Etta Lorece Brown, 89, of Eastland, Texas, died Saturday, April 6, 2013. Services are planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, April11, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro.
Jimmy “Jim†Boydston, 73, of Spiro died Monday, April 8, 2013. No services are scheduled. Mallory-Martin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Charles Edward Griffith, 79, of Poteau died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. Charles was born Feb. 17, 1934, in Gilmore to William E. and Desie (Brown) Griffith. He was a mechanic at McDonald Smedley Chevrolet. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Ronald; three brothers, David Griffith, Bill Griffith Jr., and Cotton Hale; and four sisters, Nell Davis, Thelma Samanowitz, Rhina Billy and Betty Ward.

Billy Gene Armstrong, 70, of Roland died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was a mechanic. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
Claud Ellen Baldwin Balentine, 87, of Wister died Thursday, April 4, 2013, in Poteau. She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Mansfield, Ark., to Claude Charles and Ellen (Rogers) Ellis. She worked in quality control for Rivals in Kansas City. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Howe. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and five brothers.

Lula Mae Hood, 87, of Bixby died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in Bixby. Lula Mae was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Picher to Raymond Leander and Etta Mae (Lychliter) Fesperman. She was an assistant postmaster in Bokoshe. Lula Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Roy Hood; her parents; three brothers, J.W., Ira Ray and Billy Joe Fesperman; and sister, Betty Jean Bowden.
LaRease Bryan, 80, of Wilburton died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in Wilburton. LaRease was born Feb. 4, 1933, in Summerfield to George Rease and Oda Mae (Hankins) Barnes. She was an office secretary. LaRease was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carroll Bryan; brothers, Harley, George and Troy Barnes; and sister, Inez Barnes.

Arlon L. “Buck†Lockaby, 77, of Cameron died Saturday, March 30, 2013, in Cameron. Arlon was born May 29, 1935, in Norman to Lotis Rue and Laura M. (McMillin) Lockaby. He was retired from AES. He attended Panama First Baptist Church. Buck was a farmer, He was a godly man, loving his family and friends, loving to all. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby Lockaby; brothers, Troy and Alton Lockaby and Cecil McDonald; son, Douglas Lockaby.
