Emma Ray Jeffery, 73, of Spiro died Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1 in the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel. A wake will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Claudia Jean Haynes, 69, of Heavener died Monday, May 27, 2013, in Tahlequah. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Heavener. Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mark Farley, 64, of Heavener died Monday, May 28, 2013, in Van Buren, Ark. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, at City Heights Methodist Church in Van Buren. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in Hill Cemetery, Heavener, under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home.
Lena Juanita Ward, 96, of Pocola died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Pocola. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola, with the Rev. Jimmy Waldrop officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
Velma May Hunt, 74, of Bokoshe died Thursday, May 23, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. Velma was born Feb. 26, 1939, in Oroville, Calif., to Elick and Ethel Shields. She was a homemaker. Velma was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years, Ron Hunt, on Sept. 7, 2012; daughter, Faye Daffron; son, Robert Hill; brothers, Art, Oscar, James, Wayne and Butch Shields; and sisters, Lily Joseph and Ursa Freda Shields.Â
Donald Edward Richardson, 69, of Pocola died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. Donald was born on Aug. 28, 1943, in Plummerville, Ark., to H.L. and Opal (Townsley) Richardson. He was a retired salesman.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Pledger.Â
Paul Wesley LeFlore, 85, of Bokoshe died Tuesday, May 28, 2013. He was born Jan. 2, 1928, at Milton to John Wesley and Ova (Weaver) LeFlore. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired auto body mechanic, loved to fish and hunt and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bokoshe.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Aileene Aary; and one brother, Jack LeFlore.
Saylor Slone Martine, 15, of Spiro died Sunday, May 26, 2013, in Tulsa. Saylor was born May 15, 1998, in Fort Smith, Ark. to Edward James Martine and Charity Loggains. She is survived by her parents; her sister, Savannah Martine of Spiro; aunt, Sheila Chaney of Magazine; uncles, Joey Loggains and wife Kim of Poteau, Dustin Loggains and wife Tasha of Poteau, Jessie Martine and wife Desire of Guy, Ark.; maternal grandparents, Roy and Anna Loggains of Poteau; and paternal grandmother, Connie Brown of Magazine. Saylor was preceded in death by her grandfather, Edward Max Martine.

Theron Doyle “Flub†Denny, 79, of Hoyt died Saturday, May 25, 2013. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Sandridge Pentecostal Church. Burial will be at Brooken Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Stigler.
Ronnie Vern Bastress, 69, of Poteau died Thursday, May 23, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. Ronnie was born Oct. 22, 1943, in Buena Park, Calif. to Robert and Dolly (Shewe) Hardman. She was a legal secretary and a psychiatric technician. She was preceded in death by her parents.
