James â€śDannyâ€ť Daniel Towe, 59, of Spiro died Monday, Nov. 25, in Spiro.
He was born July 19, 1954, in Fort Smith, Ark., to James Marion Towe and Jaunema (Miles) Sparacio.Â
He is survived by his wife, Betty Towe of the home, three stepdaughters, Della Fox of Stigler, Karen Moody and husband Dustin of Spiro, Donna Stiles and husband Rick of Spiro;Â one sister, Denise Reed and husband Robert of Spiro; two brothers, Jeffrey L. Towe of Spiro, Woodruff â€śTommyâ€ť Sparacio of Little Rock, Ark., his mother, Jaunema Sparacio of Spiro; one niece and four nephews.Â
Franch "Red" Johnico, 84, of Talihina died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Talihina.
Services will beheld at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Talihina Schools Little Theater. Burial will be in Choctaw Veterans Cemetery, Tuskahoma, under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Jack Parks, 76, of Talihina died Wednesay, Sept. 25, 2013, in Talihina. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at First Baptist Church in Talihina. Burial will be in the Old Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Ruby Mae Cusick, 82, of Spiro died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Murry Spur Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Spiro, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Ida Maebell Clough, 88, of Shady Point died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, in Shady Point. Ida was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Leflore to Rufus L. and Ada Gwin. She was a homemaker. Ida was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Thomas E. French; and beloved husband, Emmett Eugene Clough. Ida was a Christian lady who loved her church. She loved gardening, sewing, cooking and having family gatherings.
Survivors include her sons, Larry French of Shady Point and Lester French of Poteau; many stepchildren; grandchildren; other loved ones and beloved friends.
JoNell Hildebrand, 77, of Poteau died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Poteau. Burial will be in Stapp-Zoe Cemetery near Hodgen under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home, Heavener.
Zadoc "Mackie" Frazier, 75, of Talihina died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, 10 a.m. in Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Euel F. Bethell, 86, of Holson Valley died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Knothole community near Cameron, to Gladys (Hardin) and James Dewey Hensley. She was a twin and the eldest of 11 children. She was a homemaker and never allowed anyone to leave her home without sending â€śsomethingâ€ť with them. She loved to go fishing and camping with her husband and family and always worked beside her husband on the farm, at the sawmill and anywhere else she was needed.
Jean Mixon, 88, of Shady Point died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, in Shady Point. Jean was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Jenny Lind, Ark., to Robert Lee and Fannie (Carpenter) Kiger. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mixon; her parents; five brothers, Royce, Floyd, Sam, Richard (Bob) and Jacky; four sisters, Melvina Thompson, Margie Garrett, Islrea Jordan, Cordy Sherfield Fletcher; and granddaughter, Angela Smith Stacey
Janie Brannon, 66, of Shady Point died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at her home in Shady Point. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept 20, in the Old Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
