Esta Lena Sanders, 76, of Pocola died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, in Poteau. She was born March 8, 1937, in Pocola to Billy and Bertha Perkins. Esta was retired from Baldor Electric.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy Gene Wilson; two daughters, Lena Wilson and Carolyn Shaffer; sister, Ollie Pierce; brothers, A.H., Henry, Billy, Amos and Howard Perkins.
Esta is survived by a son, J.E. Wilson; a daughter, Kathy Sweeten; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Anna Tankersly; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, friends and loved ones.

Ted Owens, 91, of Heavener died Friday, May 31, 2013, in McKinleyville, Calif.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 8, in the Dowden Funeral Home Chapel, Heavener. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery,
Lena Derotha Elder Elliott, 88, of Heavener died Sunday, June 2, 2013.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Heavener First Baptist Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dowden Funeral Home.
Jason Michael Hiler, 34, of Van Buren, Ark., died Friday, May 31, 2013, in Clinton.
He was born March 4, 1979 in Talihina. Jason was an employee of Acme Trucking and a member of Kibler Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ward Hiler.
Survivors include his wife, April of the home; two daughters, Sydney and Payton Hiler, both of the home; mother, Nancy Hiler of Poteau; sister, Samantha Pinnell and husband Clinton of Heavener; nephew, Sebastian Pinnell and nieces, Madison and Chandler Pinnell; maternal grandmother, Jo Ann Hiler of Poteau; and niece, Kaley Brown.
Imogean Loggains, 87, of Wister passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 in Poteau. Imogean was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Howe to Joe and Jimmie (Hoskins) Kirkley. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Poteau. She was retired from C.R. Anthony. Imogean was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her parents, Jimmie Kirkley Loggains and Joe Kirkley; three brothers, two sisters; and great-granddaughter, Saylor Martine.
David Paul Waterhouse, 60, of Spiro died Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. David was born June 26, 1952, in Glendale, Calif., to Ray and Jean (Hall) Waterhouse. He was employed by PSC Fabricators for 12 years. David was preceded in death by his great nephew, Brecken Owenby.

Jerry Wayne Fulks, 65, of Talihina died Thursday, May 30, 2013 in Talihina. Jerry was born July 28, 1947, in Summerfield to John Henry and Ellen (Smith) Fulks. Jerry was a graduate of Leflore High School where he played basketball. Jerry married Cheri (Queener) Fulks on Oct. 21, 1988. He coached basketball for 28 years at Lone Grove Schools. He loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and one brother.
Glen S. “Poncho†Newburn, 85, a lifelong resident of Wister, passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Fort Smith, Ark. Glen as born June 20, 1927, in Wister to Charley and Helen (Myers) Newburn. Glen married the love of his life, Marry Elizabeth Boyer on Dec. 27, 1945, and shared 56 years before her passing in 2002. Together they raised two children, Glenn E. and Carolyn Ann. Glen proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and was stationed in Japan.
Doyle W. Davis, 54 of Tulsa died Wednesday, May 29, 2013. He was born Feb. 23, 1959, in Poteau, son of Doyle Fay and Bessie Louise (Hathcoat) Davis.
He was a 1977 graduate of Poteau High School. Doyle received his bachelor degree in criminal science from Northeastern State University, then completed the Police Academy. He served 28 years with the Tulsa Police Department including 18 with the motorcycle division. After retirement he worked for Tulsa Airport Security. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Poteau.

Glinda Gail McClain, 58, of Spiro died Wednesday, May 29, 2013. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Spiro City Cemetery.
