Brad Speaker, 61, of Pocola died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012.Â He was born April 5, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Charles â€śBudâ€ť and Bobbie Speaker. He was the owner and operator of Speaker Trailer Sales in Pocola. He also served in the U.S. Army, was a rancher, avid hunter and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Speaker of the home; two sons, Brent Speaker of Fort Smith and Jared Speaker and his wife, Tamara, of Fort Smith; his mother-in-law Dora â€śMomâ€ť Howard; one uncle, Danny Robison of Fort Smith; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Evelyn Norene Uzzel Clark of Moore died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012.
She was born in Red Oak on Nov. 27, 1927.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles O. Clark; son, Corby O. Clark; and brother-in-law, Marshall Clark.
She is survived by her son, Dane Clark; one grandson, Curren Clark; one great-grandson, Ahzyna Clark; two sisters, Peggy Kirkes and Phyllis Whitworth; three sisters-in-law, Jonell Hildebrand, Jean Estes and Diann Clark; cousins, Leonah Hein and Johna West; many nieces and nephews. She was deeply loved. Her loss is deeply felt.
Our precious mother and Meme, Elizabeth A. Coffey, went to Heaven on Oct. 27, 2012, peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved family. She was born Dec. 6, 1927, to Lizzie and Wm. Blount in Poteau.
She married Paul D. Coffey, Feb.12, 1955. She was bookkeeper for their businesses, Coffey Construction, CEC Sand, H.D. Trucking and others. She was a loving, faithful and devoted wife.
Eva Jewel Brown, 93 of Spiro went to her eternal home in Heaven on Oct. 24, 2012.
She was born Sept. 28, 1919, to David Vernal and Julia Lee â€śDollieâ€ť Newburn Argo. She lived her childhood years in Hoyt, where she fell in love with Lilliard Brown. They were married in 1942 and had two daughters, Brenda and Julia.
Eva Jewel was a 1938 graduate of Stigler High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in education in 1946, Masterâ€™s of teaching in 1964 and special educatIon certificate in 1977, all from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
Bobbie Don Smith, 65, of Spiro died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro. Burial will be in Monroe Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday.
Glenda F. Bouchard, 62, of Booneville, Ark., died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.Â Services will be held at 11 a.m.Â Friday, Oct. 26, at Howe Cemetery Pavilion with the Rev. Richard Gray officiating.Â Burial will be in Howe Cemetery under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
Gary N. Morgan, 67, of Poteau died Monday, Oct. 21, 2012, in Poteau. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Evans Chapel of Memories under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
Maxcine Warren, 56, of Poteau died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, in Tulsa.
Maxcine was born Jan. 19, 1956, in Parkin, Ark., to John Jr. and Cora Lee (Spencer) Smith. She was a teacher, counselor, and LRC/student support tutor/developmental coordinator for Carl Albert State College, Poteau. Maxcine was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Vernell Willis; and niece, Angelina Willis.
Maxcine Warren, 56, of Poteau died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, in Tulsa. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at First United Methodist Church in Poteau. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Albert â€śMarvinâ€ť Ulrich, 87, of Poteau, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Topeka, Kan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a charter pilot and retired salesman from Sears.
He was preceded in death by his birth parents, Charles and Junie Guedrey, who passed away before Marvin was 5 years old, and his adoptive parents, Fred and Lucy Ulrich; his beloved wife, Mary Margaret Ulrich; one son, James Scott Ulrich; and a sister, Charlotte Ramsey.Â
