Sue B. (Kennedy) Dutton, 81, of Poteau died Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the First Methodist Church in Leflore with burial in Leflore Cemetery under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau.
Howard Larry Perkins Sr., 65, of Pocola died Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, in Pocola. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Steep Hill Cemetery, Jenny Lind, Ark., under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Pocola.
Cristallee Gardner, 47, of Panama died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, in Panama. She was born Jan. 22, 1964, in Reno, Nev., to Elwin and Lola (Bradin) Foster. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Poteau.

Larry Burton Young Sr. left this earth to be with his sweetheart, Sue, on Nov. 5, 2011, in Spiro. He was born Sept. 2, 1922, at Wister to John Thomas and Dena Mae (Lucas) Young.
Wanda Jean Rice, 71, of Cameron died Nov. 7, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark.Â She was born Dec. 2, 1939, at Cameron to Johnny and Ruth (Seaton) Morris. Wanda Jean Morris married Bill Rice on Nov. 21, 1962, in Cameron. Jean retired from Cameron School System after 28 years of teaching and from CASC where she served as evening librarian for 11 years.
Ralph Jay Perdue Sr. was born Nov. 20, 1938, in Oklahoma City to Allie Andrew and Faye (Sutton) Perdue. He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1956. He played football for two years at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, where he was the first Eastern JUCO All-American. He played varsity football at Central State University for two years, graduating with a degree in history and physical education in 1960.
Leta Marjorie McCroskey, 61, of Poteau died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, in Poteau. Leta was born Jan. 31, 1950, in Waco, Texas, to Charles Leighton and Vertie Novelia (Dodson) Stephens Warrick. She was a material expediter at Whirlpool. Leta was preceded in death by her father; stepfather, John Warrick; four stepbrothers, John Jr., Doug, Bruce and David Warrick.
John Al Garner Jr., 81, of Wister died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, in Talihina. John Al was a U.S. Army veteran. He was owner of Garnerâ€™s Garage, which has been passed down from father to son and has been open in Wister for over 100 years. John Al was a member of the Wister Fire Department, instrumental in its organization, was Fire Chief and retired from the Department after serving over 24 years, of which he was very proud. He was a member of the Wister School Board for 25 years. He served as Mayor of Wister. He was always civic minded and very involved in many aspects of the Wister community.
