Cynthia Ann Fesperman, 66, of Bokoshe died Friday, April 4, 2014. Services were held Monday at Bokoshe United Methodist Church. Burial was in old Bokoshe Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.
Dylan Andrew Potter, 19, of Wister died Saturday, April 5, 2014, in Wister. Dylan was born Nov. 7, 1994, in Poteau to Charles Andrew Jr. and Joanie Marie (Phillips) Potter. He worked in construction. Dylan was preceded in death by his brother, Riley Andrew Potter; maternal great-grandma, Easter Buckner â€śGrandma Buttonsâ€ť; paternal grandfather, Charley Potter Sr.; paternal grandmother, Barbara Hays.
Troy Franklin Riddle, 86, of Blanchard, died April 3, 2014, in Norman. He was born May 9, 1927, in Cox City, to John Franklin and Emma (Dutton) Riddle.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Troy married Irma Sue Clay on Sept. 16, 1951, in Poteau. Troy worked as a maintenance supervisor at both Will Rogers and Wiley Post Airports for many years and was a member of Knob Hill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. He enjoyed woodworking, building things and playing golf.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Sue Mudd; and great granddaughter, Madison Lee Ann Arnold.
Dorthy Faye Moore, 85, of Panama died Thursday, April 3, in Fort Smith, Ark. Dorthy was born April 10, 1928, in Denning, Ark., to Clarence E. and Clara Bell (Mayfield) Russell. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Silver Haired Legislature, Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion and lifetime member of the VFW. Dorthy lived the motto, â€śWe are people helping people." She volunteered at the Panama Senior Center for many years where she was instrumental in acquiring their first van. Dorthy also was the inspector for the Panama Election Board for many years.
Elizabeth â€śLibbyâ€ť Lafferty, 60, of Panama was born Aug.10th, 1953, in Little Rock, Arkansas and died March 31, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.
She is survived by three sons, Shawn Lafferty and wife Dawnna Vincent of Panama, Jeff Lafferty of Panama, Charles H. Lafferty, Jr. of Oklahoma City; her father, Sunny Knuckles of Little Rock, Ark.; two sisters, Rachel Williamson of Lone Oak, Ark., Roseanne Cook of Mississippi; brother, Sammy Cook of Little Rock; two grandsons, Michael Cody Lafferty and Collin Dean Lafferty; and seven great-grandchildren.
Dr. Robert â€śBobâ€ť Fields, 60, of Wister died April 2, 2014, in Poteau. He was born April 29, 1953, in McAlester, to James William and Elsie Mae (Mankin) Fields. He was a proud Red Oak Eagle, a graduate of the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and owner of Okie Blue Sky Cattle Co. and SouthEast Animal Health and Hardware. His most fulfilling accomplishment was being "Papa" to his six grandchildren.Â
Bob is preceded in death by his father, James Fields, and a son, Brad Fields.
Charlotte â€śDianeâ€ť Frizzell, 59 of Howe died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in Howe.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 7, at Poteau Valley Baptist Church in Poteau. Burial will be in Howe Cemetery. Evans and Miller Funeral Home, Poteau, is handing arrangements.
Charlotte â€śDianeâ€ť Frizzell, 59 of Howe died Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in Howe. Diane was born May 3, 1954 in Poteau to Milburn and Nadine (Stephens) Shadwick. She was a homemaker. Diane was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Dusty Shadwick.
Elizabeth â€śLibbyâ€ť Lafferty, 60, of Panama died Monday, March 31, 2014. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro. Burial will be in Old Bokoshe Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Eugenia Yoder, 20, of Heavener died April 1, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born July 18, 1993, in Philadelphia, Pa. She was a member of Light and Hope Fellowship Church, HeavenerÂ .
