Edmond M. Conway, 74, of rural Cambridge, Ill., died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas, while traveling home from wintering in Donna, Texas. A service celebrating his life was held Monday at Vandemore Funeral Homes Ltd., Geneseo, Ill. Pastors Galen Haegele and Charles Alligood officiated. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, where military honors were accorded by Don Cherry VFW Post 5083. Memorials may be made to the Edmond Conway Memorial Fund, to be distributed to his church and the hospitals that cared for him and his family.Â
Patricia Roberta â€śTommieâ€ť Ragland, 89, of Poteau died Monday, March 31, 2014, in Poteau. Tommie was born Sept. 14, 1924 in Leflore to Edmond H. and Clara B. (Fulton) Kennedy. She was retired from Dixie Cup in Fort Smith, Ark., and worked as a teachers aide and secretary at Talihina Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poteau. Tommie was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Bea Kennedy; brother, Hugh Jr.; and sister, Sue Dutton.
Richard Lee Nix, 58, of Heavener died Friday, March 28, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at Family Worship Center in Heavener. Burial will be in Hontubby Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home.
Barbara Helen Nichols, 61, of Poteau died Saturday, March 29, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.Â
No services are scheduled at this time. Evans and Miller Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Junior Sebo, 91, of Spiro died Wednesday, March 26, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 31, in the U.S. National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Ark. Kay Wall, 69, of Honobia died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at her home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Cupco FreewillÂ Baptist Church inÂ Yanush. Burial will be in Cupco Cemetery under the direction ofÂ Burkhart Funeral Service, Talihina.

Willis â€śChuckâ€ť Armstrong, 82, of Muskogee, formerly of Spiro died Thursday, March 27, 2014, in Tulsa. Chuck was born Dec. 19, 1931, in Poteau to Sylvester and Evie (Phillips) Armstrong. He drove a dairy truck. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Shady Point. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ira and Harlen Armstrong.Â
Eldon Eugene Maxwell, 65, of Bokoshe, died Thursday, March 27, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Eldon was born Feb. 25, 1949 in San Mateo, Calif., to L.D. and Carol (Leyva) Maxwell. He was a truck driver. Eldon was preceded in death by his father, L.D. and wife, Nan; sister, Sue Christian; and three grandchildren.
A.N. â€śJuniorâ€ť Hoffman, 85, of Bokoshe died Friday, March 28, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Jan. 16, 1929, in Ballinger, Texas, to A.N. Hoffman Sr. and Annie Plumer (Stagner). On June 5, 1948, he married the love of his life, Mary Fae Garrett. He worked in the oil fields, was a rancher and raised cattle, chickens and turkeys with Mary by his side. He loved fishing, camping and gardening. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Bokoshe.
Gwendolyn â€śGwinâ€ť Maggi, 89, of Wilburton died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in Denison, Texas.Â Services will be held Saturday March 29, 2014, at the First Assembly of God in Wilburton. Burial will be in Wiburton Memorial Gardens.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at First Assembly of God in Wilburton.
