Roberta Y. Anglen, 63, of Spiro died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2015.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Choctaw Community Center in Spiro under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
John Robert Townley, 49, of Howe died Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, in Howe.
Beverly Wray â€śEllenâ€ť Thompson, 75, of Poteau died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015 in Fort Smith, Ark.
Ellen was born Oct. 17, 1939, in Winston-Salem, N.C. to Leigh and Ruby (Harrold) Newell. She was a healthcare provider but her most cherished occupation was that of being a mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Thompson; and daughter, Lisa Thompson. Ellen was a member of First Assembly of God in Poteau.
Barbara Traw Silva, 68, of Mountainburg, Ark., died Monday, Jan. 5, 2015. She was born July 29, 1946, in Whitesboro to the late Joe and Cleo Traw. She was a beautician and caregiver.
She is survived by her husband, James Silva of Vincennes, Ind.; daughter, Deanna Meadors of Mountainburg; son, Jeff Caldwell of Poteau; sister, Betty Fairchild of Odessa, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Ronnie L. Smith, 55, of Pocola died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Evelyn Brewer, 86, formerly of Fanshawe died Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, in McAlester.
Evelyn was born April 23, 1928, in Fanshawe to Otis Edward and Ollie May (Newby) Goss. She married Joseph Albert Brewer and moved the family around during his military career. After Josephâ€™s discharge, they moved to Evelynâ€™s hometown of Fanshawe and raised their family. Evelyn was a homemaker and worked as an aide at local nursing homes. She was a loving and generous woman who fed and clothed anyone in need. She was greatly loved by her family and will be deeply missed.
Linda Kay Olive, 67, of Heavener died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2015, in Heavener. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Trinity Baptist Church in Heavener. Burial will be in Reichert Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home.
Ida Ann Partain, 92, of Spiro died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Murry Spur Freewill Baptist Church in Spiro. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Martha Ann Gassaway, 87, of Denison, Texas, died at Crawford Street Place, Denison, on Dec. 31, 2014. She was born on Sept. 7, 1927, in Heavener to Robert and Mayme Baucum Mobley.
She married James Gassaway, who passed away in 1994, on Jan. 27, 1945. She was a homemaker and loved doing for her family. She especially loved cooking. She was an avid bird watcher, favoring blue birds. She moved to Grayson County from Monroe 14 years ago. She was of the Baptist faith.
Faye Wilta Fullen, 80, of Wister passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, in Wister.
Faye was born Dec. 7, 1934, in Monroe to Ed and Lucy (Cook) Armstrong. She was a physical therapist assistant. She belonged to the Wister United Methodist Church.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Fullen; her parents; son, Sonny Fullen; grandchildren, Heather Williams and Gwen Fullen; five sisters, Jane Storie, Delores Brookman, Erma Rutledge, Ann Bell and Pauline Pruitt; four brothers, Bill, Hubert, Charles and Homer Armstrong.
