Larry Wayne Monks

Larry Wayne Monks, 64, of Tulsa, formerly of Panama died Sept. 23, 2014, in Tulsa. Larry was born at Tahona to Bill and Eveline Monks on July 6, 1950. He attended Panama Schools, Eastern Oklahoma State College at Wilburton and graduated from Oklahoma State University at Stillwater with an electrical engineering degree and with additional degrees from Louisiana State University. Major degrees were coal-fired generation and nuclear generation. Larry enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with Lawrence Williamson of Panama, his friend for many years.

Bobbie Jo Montgomery, 54, of Poteau died Sept. 25, 2014, in Poteau.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Vaughn Cemetery, Gilmore, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.

Jimmy Leon Albert, 69, of Poteau died Monday, September 29, 2014, in Poteau. Jimmy was born July 23, 1945, in Poteau to Anthony and Jessie (Midgley) Albert. He was a plastering subcontractor. Jimmy loved to deer hunt and he loved his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother; brother, Jerry Albert; and sister, Sandra McKown.

Gerald Thomas Billy

Gerald Thomas Billy, 62, of Poteau died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, in Dallas, Texas.

Gerald was born March 13, 1952, in Poteau to Thomas Coleman and Edna Marie (Borden) Billy. He was a media coordinator at KFSM-Channel 5 for 32 years. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Norma Jean Burden.

Ronald R. Fullen

Ronald R. Fullen, 74, of Panama died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.

Ron was born Nov. 19, 1939, in Summerfield to Dewey Ray and Ruth (Miller) Fullen. He served in the National Guard. Ron taught 26 years at Panama Schools. He loved to trotline and hunt; he raised fighting chickens. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Fullen July 14, 2013; his parents; and brothers, Donald J. (twin) and Timothy Alexandra Fullen.

Donald Ray “Donnie” Payne, 62, of Heavener died Thursday, Sept 25, 2014, in Muskogee.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at the Summerfield Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Dowden Roberts Funeral Home..

Mary Ann Gallant, 71, of Poteau passed away Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, in Poteau.

Mary Ann was born March 9, 1943, in Midwest City. Mary Ann was a legal secretary for years and was currently the office manager for Rural Water District 14 in Spiro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Henry Gallant; her mother, Jane Ellen (Land) Young; and sister, Linda Underwood.

Billy Morton, 74, of Arkoma died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Spiro Church of Christ. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
