Ada Mae Turner Marshall, 92, of Poteau died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, in Poteau.
Ada was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Wister to Willis and Tennie (Glenn) Turner. She was of the Nazarene faith. Ada was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a really good cook and she never met a stranger. Ada was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Thomasine Nelson; grandson, Timothy Nelson; son-in-law, Dean Grey; brothers, Leeodas Turner, Harold Turner, Glen Turner; sisters, Mary Ruth Love, Billie June Crawley.
Penny Renee Lynch, 35, of Howe, passed away Dec. 19, 2014, in Poteau.
She was born July 20, 1979, in Poteau to Kenneth Lynch and Tammy (Sanders) Morrison. She was a receptionist at Rubin White Clinic.
She is preceded in death by her biological father, Kenneth Lynch, and the father who raised her, Tommy Morrison.
Jack Edward Scott Jr., 45, of Poteau died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2014, in Poteau. Jack was born Dec. 15, 1969, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Jack Edward Sr. and Phyllis June (Manley) Scott.
He was a control room operator at the AES plant where he worked for over 20 years. Jack was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Pete and Alice Scott.
Beverly Gail Golden, 58, of Fort Smith died Thursday Dec. 18, 2014, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.
She was born in Santa Monica, Calif., Aug. 14, 1956, to Bill and Judy Shaw Jackson. She was of the Christian faith and had a close relationship with the Lord. Beverly loved to travel with her travel buddy MacKenzie. She was a lover of flowers and enjoyed many days in her patio garden. She loved crafts, knitting, journaling and being a grandmother.
Dorothy Lenore Monks Aldridge Pickering, 85, formerly of Bokoshe died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia surrounded by family.
Dorothy was born on June 18, 1929 in Calhoun to Roy and Gracie (Baxter) Monks. Dorothy loved gardening, canning, cooking and was an accomplished seamstress, quilter and baker. She loved to be with family, visit with friends and never knew a stranger. Anyone who knew her knew she enjoyed a special relationship with Jesus Christ. She read scripture daily.
William Turner Walden, 30, of Norman died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, after a brief illness at Norman Regional Hospital.
Turner was born in Norman on May 8, 1984, to Neil and Lynn Walden.
Turner was preceded in death by his infant sister, Winter Lynn Walden; paternal grandmother, Lurahree Walden; maternal grandparents Tom and Marie Coleman.
Dorothy Aldridge Pickering, formerly of Bokoshe, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, in Columbia, Mo. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greenhill Cemetery Pavilion in Muskogee.
Don Robert Emerson, 73, of Cameron died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, in Greenwood, Ark. Don was born Sept. 14, 1941, in Pontiac, Mich., to Donald and Gertrude (McClure) Emerson.
He was a graduate of Cameron High School and graduated from the College of the Ozarks. He was owner-/operator of various businesses, including Emerson Moving and Storage and Emerson Transload.
Tommy Joe (Tom) Donathan, 83, went to be with his Lord in Tulsa on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014.
Tom is survived by his wife of 59 years, Deleta Bullard Donathan of Broken Arrow; sister, Christine Donathan Jacobs; son, Terry and wife Susan of St. Petersburg, Fla.; son, Scott and wife LaDonna of Broken Arrow; grandchildren, Nicole Ahrens, Michael Donathan, Justin Donathan, Tara Sherin and Kent Donathan and an ever-growing tribe of great-grandchildren.
Jackie Edward McKeown, 65, of Pocola passed away Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, in Pocola.
Jackie was born April 18,1949, in Weatherford to Jack E. and Anna Marie (Blansett) McKeown. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jackie worked for LeFlore County. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda; and brother, Harold â€śErnieâ€ť McKeown.
