William Frank â€śSnappyâ€ť Enkoff, 96, of Talihina died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, in Talihina.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Oakland Cemetery Pavilion in Poteau under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Joyce F. Foliart, 68, of Bokoshe died Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Joyce was born March 29, 1946, in Bend, Ore., to William and Jessie (Henson) Kirkendoll. She was a homemaker. Joyce attended the Bennington Church.
Charles â€śSonnyâ€ť Farrar, 73, of Cameron, died Nov. 8, 2014, in Fayetteville, Ark.
He was born March 7, 1941, in Cameron to Owen and Mary â€śMooneyhamâ€ť Farrar. He was retired from Johnson Controls, Inc. and also worked at Poorboy Livestock Auction.Â Sonny was preceded in death by his father Owen Farrar.
Herman â€śSmokeyâ€ť Hampton, 92, of Howe died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, in Poteau. Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home in Heavener. Burial was in Howe Cemetery.
Tommy Lee Nichols, 74, of Poteau died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, in Poteau.
Graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 3, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service, Talihina.
Geraldine Custard, 89, of Muse died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at home.
Services were held Monday at the Lenox Christ Church, Burial was in Lenox Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service, Talihina.
Nioma Aline Luman, 83, of Poteau died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, Poteau.
She was born Sept. 19, 1931 in Reichert to Cleave and Ruth Helen (Milligan) Hamner. She was a provider and homemaker; she loved to quilt, work in her garden, collect coins and attend country music performances. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Aline is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, John Hamner; son-in-law, Ronnie Sumpter; and her dog, Nipper.
Joyce Harper Whisenant, 86, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Tulsa to William Percy Harper and Moselle Price Harper.
Joyce grew up in Poteau, where she met her future husband, William E. â€śWhizâ€ť Whisenant. She graduated with a degree in journalism from Oklahoma A&M University and was a member of Chi Omega.
Estel â€śLuckyâ€ť Self, 66, of Spiro died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, Oct. 9, at Old Cache Cemetery, Cartersville, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Violet Marie Whitmire Hobbs, 95, of Poteau died Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Heavener Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Evans and Miller Funeral Home, 411 Dewey Ave., Poteau.
