Debra Ann Hale Blake, 52, of Poteau died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Debra was born Jan. 15, 1960, in Poteau to Willie Lee and Ada (Sharp) Hale. She was a housewife. She was a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church where she cooked often and taught Sunday School. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lee Davis, 72, of Checotah died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, in Muskogee.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at First United Methodist Church in Checotah, under the direction of Garrett Family Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Checotah.
Timothy Brian Smith, 48, of Pocola died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.Â
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, at Evans Memorial Chapel, Pocola, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Anna Morgan, 90, of Whitesboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Talihina Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the Prairie Grove Baptist Church with Cecil Holcomb officiating.
Burial will be in Whitesboro Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Joe Walter, 50, of Saginaw, Texas, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie; daughters, Heather and Amber Walter; and parents, Leo Walter and Judy Ivy.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, in Greenwood Memorial Park, under the direction off Greenwood Funeral Home.
William O. Mecom, 82, of Bartlesville, formerly of Poteau, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, in Bartlesville. William was born Dec. 12, 1929, in Milton to Tom and Georgia (LeFlore) Mecom. He was preceded in death by his parents.Â
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Barney and Melba Mecom of Tulsa.Â
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Old Bokoshe Cemetery Pavilion, Bokoshe, with Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will be in Old Bokoshe Cemetery.

Gary Lawrence Ellis, 58, of Poteau died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Gary was born July 28, 1953, in Kansas City, Kan., to Charles L. and Gracie E. (Snell) Ellis. He was a brakeman for KCS Railroad. He was preceded in death by his mother.Â

Dale Keith, 78, of Whitesboro died February 18, 2012 at the Veterans Hospital in Muskogee.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 21, at 2 p.m. in the Talihina Funeral Home Chapel in Talihina.
Internment will be at the Whitesboro Cemetery in Whitesboro.
The Talihina Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Alta Holt, 77, of Poteau, Okla., passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 in Poteau. Mary was born December 31, 1934 in Talihina, Okla., to George N. and Atha Irene (Mahorney) Stoynoff. Mary was a retired telephone operator. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack Holt.
Janice Pauline Midgley Couch, of Wister, Okla., passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Fort Smith, Ark. Janice was born Sunday, December 2, 1962 in Stockton, Calif., to Clifford Melton and Lilace Elaine (Sampson) Midgley. She was a cook at Wister Public Schools. Janice was preceded in death by her paternal grandpa, Charley Midgley; maternal grandparents, O.C. and Mildred Sampson; and best friend, Cheryl Johnson Seagraves.
