Grace R. Huss, 91, of Poteau died Thursday, July 3, 2014, in Poteau.Â
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, at the Oakland Cemetery Pavilion in Poteau under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Anthony Sanders, 54, of Talihina died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in Talihina.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, in the Sardis Community Building. Burial will be under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service, Talihina.
Clarence Hamm, 74, of Beggs, formerly of Poteau died Monday, June 30, 2014.
Services will be held Monday, July 7, at First Baptist Church in Beggs. Burial will be in Beggs Cemetery under the direction of McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
Julius Gene Dugan, 77 of Jenny Lind, Ark., died Thursday, June 26, 2014, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital.Â He was a retired industrial steel worker, member of Rose Garden Full Gospel Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Patsy Jean Gilstrap, 83, of Poteau died Friday, June 27, 2014, in Poteau. Patsy was born in Dow-Hartshorne on March 22, 1931 to William Franklin and Isabell I. (Blair) Clay. She was a secretary at the courthouse for years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Poteau. Patsy was an avid reader. She was the â€śBest Mom in the World.â€ť Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Bob E. Gilstrap, on Feb. 11, 2002, and sister, Nancy Pierce.
Leanna Bynum, 89, of Spiro died Monday, June 23, 2014.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 30, at Mallory Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro.
Hall of Fame Coach Gerald D. Blankenship, 87 of Tulsa, formerly of Spiro died June 25, 2014, in Tulsa.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, at Liberty Baptist Church in Tulsa and 4 p.m. that day at the First Baptist Church in Spiro.
Kenneth â€śKennyâ€ť Odell Gann, 24, of Heavener died Monday, June 23, 2014, in Idabel.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Church of God Seventh Day in Wister. Burial will be in Conser Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home, Heavener.
Marie M. Ford, 79, of Wister, formerly of Norman died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark. Marie was born in Wister on Dec. 9, 1934, to George H. and Marie (Harmon) Henson. She retired from Little Axe School as librarian after 17 years. She was also a homemaker who loved to cook and loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing and camping in the deer woods with her extended family. She will be greatly missed. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Burton Ford; four brothers and four sisters.
Mary Ella Washburn, 86, of Dayton, Tenn., died Friday, Jue 20, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 27, in Heavener Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home.
