John Thomas McKinney, 55, of Spiro died Friday, May 9, 2014.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 15, in Old Cache Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro
George Rice Jr., 84, of Oklahoma City died peacefully surrounded by his family May 6, 2014. George was born December 16, 1929 in LeFlore County to George Addison and Nancy (Gabbard) Rice. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. George worked in logistics for General Dynamics Corp., retiring in 1991 after 35 years. George was a member of the Southpark Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was in the Promise Keepers Volunteer group. He was a beloved husband, father, grand and great-grandfather, uncle and friend.
Joe Darrel Parker, 74, of Bokoshe died Thursday, May 8, 2014. Graveside services will beheld at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, in Old Bokoshe Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro.
Sylvia Marie (Shannon) Loucks, 100, of Poteau passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Poteau. Sylvia was born Jan. 5, 1914, in Stilwell to John W. and Nina Ann (Hughes) Shannon. Sylvia was married for 52 years to Vernon Loucks. She graduated from high school in 1929 at the age of 15. After attending business college she worked as a bookkeeper until the 1980s, only taking off a few years until her daughters were in school. Sylvia was a devout Christian woman who was very active in the First Christian Church. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Gerald Dee Rana Sr., the most wonderful husband and father that God has placed on this earth, of Red Oak died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at his residence at the age of 84.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau.Â Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Sylvia Marie (Shannon) Loucks, 100, of Poteau died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, in Poteau.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, at First Christian Church in Poteau.Â Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
C.J. Tull, 83, of Denison, Texas, formerly of Poteau died Monday, May 5, 2014, in Denison. Â
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau.Â Burial will be in Shady Point Cemetery under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Funeral services for JoAnn Newburn will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at The Assembly in Broken Arrow. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.
Lois JoAnn Newburn was born Aug. 17, 1931, in Poteau, the daughter of Homer and Mittie (Stigall) Boyd. She died at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. She was 82.
C.D. Lowrimore, 68, of Bokoshe died Saturday, May 3, 2014, in Bokoshe. C.D. was born Aug. 7, 1945, in Panama. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. C.D. worked in the oil fields for years and was a rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Louise of the home; son, Matthew Lowrimore of the home; sister, Frances Lindenau of Panama; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Rev. Bryan Fout officiating. Burial will be in Old Bokoshe Cemetery, Bokoshe.Â
