Ora Lee Spangler, 88, of Poteau died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, in Pocola.
Ora Lee was born May 17, 1926, in Shady Point to Grady and Gertrude (Holstead) Brown. Ora was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; son, L.G. Spangler; and grandson, Keith Spangler.
Steven J. â€śNedâ€ť Pierce, 40, of Chase Mills, N.Y., formerly of Spiro died Nov. 29, 2014.
Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, at Donaldson Funeral Home in Massena, N.Y. (Information provided by Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.)
Hellen Isaac, 69, of Spiro died Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, in Fort Smith, Ark.Â

Kay Frances Franklin Truitt, 73, of Heavener died Nov. 23, 2014, in Heavener.A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener.
Dorothy Marie Buckmaster, 89, of Suffolk, Va., formerly of Arkoma and Oxnard, Calif., died Nov. 25, 2014, in Suffolk.
She was born April 30, 1925, in Panama to Robert E. and Emma Wells Steele. Dorothy was a homemaker, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 2036 and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Suffolk.
She is survived by her son, Robert Buckmaster of Suffolk; daughter, Sue Stiles of Ventura, Calif.; a brother, Everett Steele of Arkoma, as well as four grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Blair Buckmaster and a brother, Nelson Steele.
Virginia Lea Ward, 87, of Cameron died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 in Cameron.
Virginia was born September 5, 1927, in Hughes to Martin E. and Ethel E. (Lewis) Duncan. She was a seamstress and a rancherâ€™s wife. Virginia was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to sew and bake. She took care of everybody and loved her family.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; grandson, Justin Ward; great-grandchildren, Emily Cox, William â€śLiamâ€ť Lyon; brothers, Joe Barrick, Earl Duncan; sisters-in-law, Shirley Duncan and Mary Barrick.
Billy Joe Kinsey, 83, of Heavener died Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, in Heavener. Billy Joe was born June 20, 1931, in Poteau to Abe and Willie (Davis) Kinsey. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He boxed while he was in the service. Billy Joe taught at the elementary and middle school level in many subjects, retiring at Heavener Public Schools where he taught and coached. He was beloved by generations of children and young adults he taught and coached. He enjoyed game hunting, especially duck hunting.
Jerry Don Franklin, 59, of Spiro died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, in Fayetteville, Ark.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Edith Lucile Carrigan, 83, of Pocola died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, in Pocola.Â
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Milton Cemetery, Bokoshe under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
Blake Wayne Lomon, 25, of Pocola died Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, in Spiro.
Blake was born Oct. 27, 1989, in Fort Smith, Ark., to John Wayne II and Angela Flame (Calhoun) Lomon. He was a serviceman for Kiamichi Electric. Blake loved to hunt, fish and go four-wheeling. He was a country boy and a wonderful father. He was kindhearted and loved by everybody. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, John Tedford, Marcella DeWitt, Charlie and Dorothy Midgley and Lester Yates.
