Florine Heavener, 93, of the Conser community died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Hodgen Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home, Heavener.

Lula Faye (Green) VanVeKoven, 79, of Poteau passed away peacefully under the watchful eyes of the nurses and staff members at Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark., on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at 4:06 a.m. Born Feb. 23, 1933, in Williams, she was the youngest of two children born to native Oklahomans William A. â€śJudeâ€ť Green and Edith Naomi (Hobbs) Green.
Ruth Pauline Webb, 93, of Poteau died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, in Poteau. She was born in Spiro Jan. 8, 1919, to John and Lillie Sherfield. She married John â€śDocâ€ť Webb Aug 10, 1938. She was a homemaker, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie; her beloved husband, Doc; and a precious granddaughter, Christy; and eight brothers and sisters.
Arlene Annett Davidson, 71, of Poteau died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, in Poteau.Â She was born Feb. 11, 1941, in Shamrock, Texas, to George William and Leona (Henry) Barrett.Â
Arlene was a retired registered nurse, having served as nursing supervisor for Health South in Fort Smith, Ark. She also was the director ofÂ Emergency Medical Services at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau.Â She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley â€śBuckâ€ť Davidson, and her parents.
Terry Lamont Biggerstaff, 61, of Blue Ball, Ark., went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Terry was born March 4, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Homer Romane and Wilma (Grantham) Biggerstaff.Â Terry was a member of the Tatetown Community Church.
He was a U.S. Marine veteran. His hobbies included deer hunting, fishing and gardening.Â Terry could make plants grow on rocks. But, above all Terry loved his family, most of all his grandchildren.
Dennis Dana Gregory died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran, serving two tours with the U.S. Air Force in Pleiku, Vietnam, as an air passenger service specialist. He distinguished himself as airman of the month among other citations. He traveled extensively in Asia and Europe. He was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. Residing in Manhattan Beach, Calif., he retired to Heavener in 1988 after many years as customs house manager of ocean imports at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.
Wilma â€śFayeâ€ť Humphries, 80, of Poteau stepped into the light Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, in Fort Smith, Ark.
Faye was born July 9, 1932, in Howe to William V. and Sarah Lula (Dodd) Ritter.Â She began her education at the No. 10 Community school, now rebuilt into the home ofÂ her sister, Jeanne Hill, and family.Â Â On July 23, 1955, she married Everett Ray Humphries.Â She became a homemaker raising three children.
John Edward Inman, 64, of Tyler, Texas, formerly of Heavener died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, in Tyler.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, in Memorial Park Cemetery, Heavener, under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home.
