Earlier this season, the Arkansas Razorbacks had a shot at No. 1 Alabama. Tonight, the Poteau Pirates will get that opportunity.
The Pirates (4-2, 1-2 in District 4A-4 play) will travel to meet the top-ranked Tulsa Cascia Hall Commandos (6-0, 3-0) at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
“We're excited about the game,” said Greg Werner, Poteau's first-year coach. “There's one of two ways you can take it. You can say, 'Oh, no, it's here,' or you can get excited about the chance to play them. We're excited to get this chance.”
