PANAMA — The weather had a little effect on the 2012 Panama Holiday Festival as the basketball teams from Acorn, Ark., could not make it up on Friday due to threatening weather conditions.
So, the two LeFlore County teams in the event, host Panama and Spiro, ended up playing each other on Friday.
The Bulldogs handled the Razorbacks 84-58, while the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady ’Backs 51-28.
On Saturday, Spiro's teams each beat Acorn, with the boys winning 85-40 and the girls posting a 56-41 victory.
MANSFIELD, Ark. — The Heavener High School basketball teams saw 2012 end on a sour note on Saturday.
The Wolves lost 56-46 to host Mansfield in the title game of the Bill Frye Invitational to end the three-day event.
The final day got started on the wrong foot for Heavener as an outmanned Lady Wolves team suffered a 44-39 loss to Booneville, Ark., in the consolation championship game.

MANSFIELD, Ark. — The Heavener Wolves basketball team will have a chance to bring home some hardware today.
The Wolves routed Hackett, Ark., 62-31 Friday afternoon in the semifinals to reach the championship game of the Bill Frye Invitational. The Wolves will play in the title game at 5:30 this afternoon where they will play the winner of Friday night's Mansfield-Booneville game.
Sunday Couple Scrambles at Wolf Ridge Golf Course will take place at 2 p.m. Sundays. The entry fee is $15 per person for the nine-hole weekly event.

MANSFIELD, Ark. — The Heavener High School basketball teams split their games on opening day of the Bill Frye Invitational.
The Wolves clawed Mulberry, Ark., 64-46 on Thursday afternoon to reach Friday afternoon's championship semifinal against the winner of Thursday's Paris-Hackett winner at 4 p.m. The winner will play for the championship at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, while the loser will play for third place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Christmas is over and I am in Branson with my family for a little vacation. We are going to see a few shows and let the boys check out the town. I expect that Silver Dollar City will be out as an option because with the cold weather. I am not sure the rides will be open and the boys are all about the rides.
