MANSFIELD, Ark. — The Heavener High School basketball teams split their games on opening day of the Bill Frye Invitational.
The Wolves clawed Mulberry, Ark., 64-46 on Thursday afternoon to reach Friday afternoon's championship semifinal against the winner of Thursday's Paris-Hackett winner at 4 p.m. The winner will play for the championship at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, while the loser will play for third place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Boys — Spiro vs. Hailevyille, 5:30 p.m.; Panama vs. Acorn, Ark., 8:30 p.m.
Saturday
Boys — Spiro vs. Acorn, Ark., 3:30 p.m.; Panama vs. Haileyville, 6:30 p.m.
Friday
Girls — Spiro vs. Haileyville, 4 p.m.; Panama vs. Acorn, Ark., 7 p.m
Saturday
Girls — Spiro vs. Acorn, Ark., 2 p.m..; Panama vs. Haileyville, 5 p.m.
Christmas is over and I am in Branson with my family for a little vacation. We are going to see a few shows and let the boys check out the town. I expect that Silver Dollar City will be out as an option because with the cold weather. I am not sure the rides will be open and the boys are all about the rides.
