There were several winning teams and individuals at the 2012 Poteau Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, which took place on a hot Monday afternoon at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.
The foursome of Josh Tackett, Joe Tackett, Joe Claborn and Josh Wiles won the title in first flight. Darrell Plummer, Sandy Blake and Kale and Jerry Holton were runners-up in first flight, while Perry Reed, Alan McDaniel, Wes Davidson and Russ Bunyard came in third place.
There were several winners in the 2012 Bi-State Women's Golf Tournament, which took place Tuesday at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.
In first flight, the low gross title went to JoAnn Winstead, with Poteau's Kay Chitwood in second and Christie Mahl in third.
Cheri Gosey took first place in low net in first flight, with Poteau's Kelly Holton runner-up and Prissy Buchanan of Fort Smith, Ark., in third.
Carol Sargent of Springdale, Ark., won the low gross title in second flight, followed by Dixie Reed from near Lake Tenkiller in second and LaVonne Hayes in third.
The 47th Spider Webb Two-Person Scramble Golf Tournament will take place July 14-15 at Choctaw Country Club. The entry fee for the two-person scramble is $175 per golfer, which includes range balls and a practice round on July 13 and dinner on July 14.
