KINTA — The Howe Lions baseball team got its first win of the season Tuesday afternoon with a 9-0 win over the Kinta Eagles.
Eagletown 10, Whitesboro 8: In Whitesboro, the Eagles rallied from an 8-3 deficit with a four-run third inning and a three-run fifth inning.

The Poteau Pirates may have been the first team to get some semblance of a game-like situation in last weekend's Red-White Interteam Scrimmage, but the Spiro Bulldogs will get the first taste of real competition for the county.
The ’Dogs will be in a three-way scrimmage at 6 p.m. tonight at Tulsa Webster along with Okmulgee.
The biggest item on the agenda is looking at the linemen.
“We hope our offensive line will play well,” Spiro Coach Chris Bunch said. “We're making sure that they play assignment football and show that they can be aggressive.”
Our vacation is winding down, and I am, too. We have spent at least three days or nights driving 12 or more hours between locations, and have one more long drive to go. Right now, I am in Estes Park at a nice little cabin near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. This place is awesome, and I will have some pictures of it next week.
