Youth hunters making memories that last a lifetime

October 24, 2013

Last weekend was the youth deer season and today's physical edition and e-edition have several pictures of youth hunters who were successful in taking a deer.
I do need to give a special thanks to Richard Parks of Clayton who was the official guide for my boys last weekend. His son, Butch, also got in on the guiding action and I greatly appreciate their time.
Have a great week!

Can you give me a push?

October 23, 2013

A church deacon was sleeping comfortably during a very heavy rain storm when the door bell rang at 2 a.m. He staggered putting on his robe and slippers. Then, when he opened the front door, he encountered a very drunk man standing in the downpour. The drunkard asked him if he could give him a push. The deacon said no, then slammed the door in his face. He went back to bed and laid down.

Might be time for OSU to put Walsh back on the Chelf; OSU beats TCU to make it happy homecoming

October 22, 2013

STILLWATER — It was a happy homecoming for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who beat the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs 24-10 Saturday in front of a record-setting crowd of 59,638 at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Still, the offense for the Cowboys (5-1 overall, 2-1 in Big 12 play) is sputtering. It most certainly did in the opening quarter as starting quarterback J.W. Walsh threw two interceptions — granted one happened as he was hit while making his throw.
