EDMOND â Poteau senior cross country runner Deven Bond was hoping to earn All-State status by finishing in the top 10 at Saturday's Class 4A State Meet at Edmond Santa Fe High School. She did.
Bond was eighth with a time of 12:33.91 to become an All-Stater.
As a team, the Lady Pirates were seventh with 187 points, finishing behind state champion Plainview (25 points), Tulsa Metro Christian (127), Sequoyah-Claremore (149), Elgin (153), Oklahoma City Heritage Hall (156) and Vinita (185).
Fort Smith (Ark.) Northside's Bria Caldwell's 19 points and game tying 3-point basket at the end of regulation proved to be the differenceÂ in the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings' 73-69 overtime win over Jefferson County, Mo., Â on Saturday afternoon in the final day of the State Fair Classic in Sedalia, Mo.
