OKLAHOMA CITY — As the 2012-2013 National Basketball Season ended Wednesday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena, the Oklahoma City Thunder were honored as a banner was placed in the rafters for winning this season’s Northwest Division title.
However, since the Thunder had wrapped up the top seed out west for the playoffs which will begin this weekend, the regular-season finale didn’t see the Thunder team we’re accustomed to seeing.

Turkey season is finally here

April 18, 2013

This weekend is the start of the youth turkey season in the southeast region. Area youth can go after a bird on Saturday and Sunday before the regular season starts on Monday.
Kids younger than 18 can hunt, but must be accompanied by an adult older than 18. For all regulations concerning youth turkey season, go to www.odwc.state.ok.us.
I plan on taking my boys and chase some birds around this weekend. Hopefully, we will get a chance to call in a gobbler, and they will get their first bird.
