South teams sweep North in LC All-Star Basketball Games

May 22, 2013

In the Civil War, the North prevailed over the South. However, in Tuesday night's LeFlore County All-Star Basketball Games at Carl Albert State College's Mick Thompson Fieldhouse, it was the South that rose over the North — rather convincingly.
The South boys routed the North 83-44, while the South girls defeated the North 67-40.

Pirates end spring football practice with Red-White Game Thursday night; monetary donations will be accepted at gate to be given to Moore tornado relief efforts

May 22, 2013

For 10 days, the Poteau Pirates football team has gone through spring drills. The Pirates will cap off the 10-day period with Thursday night's Red-White Spring Game at 6:30 p.m. at Costner Stadium.

As with any year, we're behind where I thought we'd be behind, but we're ahead in other areas. So, it's all about getting things on the same page.”
