GORE — The Heavener Wolves escaped with a 13-7 win over the homestanding Gore Pirates in a defensive battle.
PANAMA — The story line of Friday night's game at George Ollie Stadium would have to be the domination of the Panama Razorbacks offensive and defensive lines. Warner was running an old-school offense, and it seemed like they kept wanting to ride on the back of senior Clint Kite.
Panama scored early, and then did not give up a single offensive point to Warner as the Eagles scored on an 88-yard kick return by Kite.
When the final horn sounded, the Hogs had their second win of the season, posting a 29-6 victory over the Eagles.
SPIRO — McKinley Whitfield accounted for five touchdowns and more than 200 all-purpose yards, fueling the Spiro Bulldogs to their second straight win as they routed the Haskell Haymakers 55-6 Friday night at McClain Stadium.
Whitfield scored on touchdown runs of 35 and 9 yards, while passing for three more TDs — two to Malik Walker covering 34 and 15 yards and a 22-yard scoring strike to Trevon Mitchem.
Hunter Wilson added field goals of 30 and 27 yards and was a perfect 7-for-7 on extra points for the Bulldogs.

TULSA — Thursday night's game at Milton Stadium was scary for several reasons. The Tulsa Webster Warriors' football team is loaded with athletic players, and the Warriors have given the Pirates fits over the past several years.
Webster scored on a 31-yard pass. Then the Pirates were read the riot act on the sideline and they then went on a 46-0 run to win the game by the score of 46-6.
The Pirates will open District 4A-4 play at 7:30 p.m. Friday against the Sallisaw Black Diamonds at Perry F. Lattimore Stadium in Sallisaw.
TALIHINA — The Talihina Golden Tigers used a blazing first quarter to use their third game of the season as a tune-up for District A-6 play, scoring 28 points and holding the Sallisaw junior varsity to 16 yards of total offense en route to a 40-19 victory Thursday night at Doc Robinson Stadium. The Golden Tigers then gave the reserves action for the final three quarters to rest the starters for next week's district opener against Quinton, which will be homecoming.
