Heavener falls in season finale to Eufaula

HEAVENER — While the Heavener Wolves had no hope of making any hope of making the playoffs, the Eufaula Ironheads still had a shot. They needed a win and then they needed the stars to line up in the right sequence, but it didn't happen.
Roland routed Valliant 40-7 to keep the Ironheads from making the playoffs.
Heavener and Eufaula labored through three quarters and then scored three touchdowns in a row. The Ironheads struck for an 86-yard touchdown pass to seal the deal as the Ironheads won the game by the score of 15-7 Friday night at Harvey Stadium.

SW Covenent blanks Bokoshe in season finale

YUKON — The Bokoshe Tigers were hoping to get at least one District C-4 win before the season ended. It didn't happen.
The Southwest Covenant Patriots mercy ruled the Tigers 50-0 in a game called at halftime.

Arkoma gets second place with win over Webbers Falls; Mustangs will welcome Timberlake Tigers to town for Class C playoff opener

ARKOMA — The Arkoma Mustangs clinched a home playoff date next week with a decisive 48-24 victory over the Webbers Falls Warriors in front of a capacity homecoming crowd Friday night at Mustang Field.
The Mustangs (6-3 overall, 5-2 in District C-4) will entertain the Timberlake Tigers at 7:30 p.m. next Friday to begin the Class C playoffs.

Talihina completes perfect regular season, routs Gore; Golden Tigers will entertain Stratford to begin playoffs

GORE — The Talihina Golden Tigers closed out a 10-0 season by beating the Gore Pirates 48-8 Friday night to also run the table in District A-6 at 6-0.
The Golden Tigers will entertain the Stratford Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. next Friday at Doc Robinson Stadium to begin the Class A playoffs.

Spiro Bulldogs see eight-game winning streak, home playoff game go by the boards in loss to Checotah on Friday night; Bulldogs will hit the road to face Hilldale to begin Class 3A playoffs next week

CHECOTAH — The Spiro Bulldogs just had to win, and they were going to be District 3A-8 champions and have two home playoff games.
None of that is going to happen now as they suffered a 43-28 loss to the Checotah Wildcats on Friday night at Ogle Field to see their eight-game winning streak snapped.
The loss ended up putting the ’Dogs (8-2, 6-1) as the third-seeded team from the district, meaning a road game against the Hilldale Hornets at 7:30 p.m. next Friday to begin the Class 3A playoffs.

Pirates use 36-point second quarter to win flag-marred game over Tulsa Rogers; Poteau will entertain Cleveland in playoff opener next week at home

TULSA — The Poteau Pirates were challenged by coach Greg Werner in the pregame huddle to come out with intensity and put the Tulsa Will Rogers Ropers away as quickly. He warned that the Ropers had nothing to gain and would love nothing more than to put a defeat on the Pirates.

CASC teams get homecoming sweep of Bacone College JV

Five players in double figures and a 13-2 run to begin the second half proved to be the difference for the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings in their 88-27 win over the Bacone College Junior Varsity Lady Warriors on Thursday night on homecoming 2013 at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse. The effort by the Lady Vikings against the Lady Warriors tied the school record of 27 points allowed to a Lady Viking opponent in program's history.

Vian Wolverines blank Panama; Hogs to travel to Okemah for playoff opener next week

VIAN — The Vian Wolverines ran the table in District 2A-6 with a 33-0 win over the Panama Razorbacks on Thursday night at St. John Stadium.
The Razorbacks (7-3 overall, 4-2 in district play) will be the third seed from the district and will travel to meet District 2A-5 runners-up, the Okemah Panthers, at 7:30 p.m. next Friday to begin the Class 2A playoffs.
