EL RENO â€” The Carl Albert State College baseball team split its road games in Thursday afternoon's doubleheader against Redlands Community College.
The Vikings took the nightcap 3-1 after losing 7-4 in the opener.
The same two teams will go at it at 1 this afternoon in a doubleheader at Ival Goodman Field.
The Vikings will then travel to meet the Connors State College Cowboys for a single, nine-inning game at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Warner. The game was originally slated for Tuesday night.
BROKEN BOW â€” Several Hodgen and Shady Point track athletes qualified for today's Organization of Rural Elementary Schools (ORES) State Meet, which will be at Hook-Eales Stadium in McAlester.
At last weekend's ORES Regional Meet at Memorial Stadium, which was hosted by Holly Creek School, each school had some regional champions besides those qualifying for state.
BROKEN BOW â€” The Poteau Lady Pirates track team won their sixth of eight meets this season to end the regular season as they won the Broken Bow Invitational, which took place Monday at Memorial Stadium.
The Lady Pirates had 158 points. Heavener had 84 points, while Spiro had 41.
The Lady Pirates won two of the four relays for 40 of their points.
On the boys' side, Spiro had 97 points, with Poteau 82 points and Heavener 51.
