The 49th annual Choctaw Country Club Invitational Golf Tournament will be June 21-22. This year, there is a new format for the tournament with fourball on Day 1 and a scramble on Day 2 for the two-man teams.
Entry fee is $350 per team which includes the two rounds of golf, a practice round on June 20 and a steak dinner and entertainment on June 21. For more information, call (918) 647-3488.

The quartet of Justun and Chris Coyle, Leflore basketball coach Daniel Caldwell and Gary Rogers were second with a 62.
Coming in third was the team of Ron Killion, Carl Albert State College womenâ€™s basketball coach Jeff Tadtman, Ron Murphree and LeFlore County Sheriff Rob Seale, who were a shot behind at 63.

Super Stock Race
For the first time since the Class 4A state title game, the Poteau Pirates will hit the football field for Friday night's spring game, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Costner Stadium. Admission is body wash and towels.
Friday night's spring game will conclude the two-week spring drills season, which began May 19.
â€śWe've had a weird two weeks,â€ť Poteau coach Greg Werner said. â€śThere's been a lot going on as well as the weather, but we've had a good two weeks. I think the kids will be excited to get on the field and play a little bit.â€ť
MIDWEST CITY â€” Two local golfers competed in last weekend's Hudiburg Classic at John Conrad Golf Course.
Poteau's Cody Shore, who won the Class 4A state title earlier this month, finished second with a 65-72â€”137. He had the lead after the first round on Sunday, but lost the lead to eventual winner Mason Overstreet of Laverne.
Cameron's Cody Whitehead, who was fourth in this month's Class 2A State Tournament and made the 2014 East All-State Golf Team, finished 11th with a 71-74â€”145.
The 10th annual â€śHooked on Fishin'â€ť Kids Tournament will be from 7 a.m. to noon June 7 at Long Lake Resort. There will be two age divisions, ages 8 to 12 and 13 to 16.
The cost is $30 per team, and those wishing to enter can register at Long Lake Resort. As of today, there's only 50 spots open, and it's on a first-come, first-serve basis.
On June 6 will be a crawfish boil and fish fry at Long Lake Resort from 7 to 10 p.m. Earl Herron and the Sound of Country will provide musical entertainment. It's always a fun time, so come out out if you can.
