Pocola basketball teams each have new coaches; Nelke leaves Poteau for alma mater's Indians, while Ladd jumps to Lady Indians

July 1, 2014

There will be some changes on the basketball sidelines when the 2014-15 seasons get going in late November/December for Pocola High School.
For starters, Poteau boys coach and former Indian player Scott Nelke will coach the Indians, who had been coached by Eric Ladd.
However Pocola fans, have no fear. Ladd will still be around as he will now coach the Lady Indians after three-year coach Carrie Covey will step down to only coach fast- and slow-pitch softball.
