Might be time for OSU to put Walsh back on the Chelf; OSU beats TCU to make it happy homecoming

October 22, 2013

STILLWATER — It was a happy homecoming for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, who beat the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs 24-10 Saturday in front of a record-setting crowd of 59,638 at Boone Pickens Stadium.
Still, the offense for the Cowboys (5-1 overall, 2-1 in Big 12 play) is sputtering. It most certainly did in the opening quarter as starting quarterback J.W. Walsh threw two interceptions — granted one happened as he was hit while making his throw.

It's fall break — meaning playoff picture is taking shape

October 18, 2013

We're enjoying fall break, and it's going to feel good to not have a late night tonight for once — especially since fellow photojournalist Craig Hall and I are leaving at 6 a.m. Saturday for the Texas Christian-Oklahoma State football game, which will kick off at 11 a.m. at Boone Pickens Stadium. I can get my beauty sleep tonight!
However, fall break also normally means something else to me as far as being a sports writer is concerned. It normally means that the playoff picture is starting to take shape.
