Both county teams played their lone non-district game before District C-4 begins this week, and against each other no less as the LeFlore County 8-Man Rivaly is renewed.

Panama looks to continue momentum with home game with Roland

September 11, 2013

It was about as perfect a season opener as one could hope for the Panama Razorbacks on Thursday night in their 34-0 win over the Gore Pirates at George Ollie Stadium.
“The thing we stressed is that it was a very clean game for us,” Panama coach Brandon Ellis said.
“We only had two penalties, and they were late in the game. We worked on some things in that game that we needed to work on.”
However, that was then, and the Roland Rangers are now as the Sequoyah County visitors come to George Ollie Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. Friday kickoff.

Quarterback controversy at OU, and Church Golf League

September 11, 2013

Do the Oklahoma Sooners have a quarterback controversy? Trevor Knight started and won his second straight game, but he failed to convert when the Sooners twice got deep in the red zone. However, the fickled Sooner fans at E.K. Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium began to yell, “We want Bell!”
Well, they got him, and he fared no better, even though the Sooners were in an ultra-slow motion offensive style of play with a nine-point advantage.
Do the true Sooner fans remember that Bell personally lost the Kansas State game as he fumbled the ball twice?
