WHITESBORO — The good news for the Whitesboro Bulldogs is they won a game at the Class B District Tournament last weekend at the Whitesboro Gym. The not-so-good news was that the ’Dogs lost the championship game Saturday night.
After beating the Eagletown Eagles 58-49 in Friday night's elimination game, the ’Dogs had a late rally which came up short in Saturday night's district championship contest as they lost 59-56 to the Moyers Tigers.
LEFLORE — The bad news was the Leflore High School basketball teams lost their Class B District Tournament title games Saturday night to McCurtain at the Leflore Gym.
But the good news is there's still playoff basketball ahead for both the Lady Savages and Savages.
The McCurtain Lady Bulldogs beat the Lady Savages 58-40 in the girls' title game Saturday night, then the ’Dogs downed the Savages 66-58 in the boys' championship contest.
PANAMA — The Panama Lady Razorbacks bounced back from Thursday night's poor outing in Pocola to down the Haileyville Warriors 40-20 Friday night at the Panama Gym.
Leading by six points after one period, the Lady ’Backs upped their lead to 10 points at 20-10 at halftime.
Panama put the game away in the third quarter as the Lady Razorbacks got up to as much as an 18-point lead at 32-14.

CAMERON — The two favored teams to win titles in this past weekend's Class A District Tournament did just that.
The host Cameron Yellowjackets ended up flying right past the Clayton Bulldogs to win the boys' title game 57-40 Saturday night at the Cameron Gym.
In girls' championship game, the Arkoma Lady Mustangs also claimed the top prize with a 64-51 win over the Lady Bulldogs.
Clayton's teams reached Saturday night's title games by winning elimination games on Friday night, thus ending the seasons for two LeFlore County teams.
