TUSKAHOMA â€” There will be several events taking place for this year's Tuskahoma Labor Day Festival, which will be Aug. 30-Sept. 1.
For the basketball lovers, there will be 3-on-3 basketball tournaments on Aug. 31 for all men's, women's and coed teams.
There will be three divisions of four-man roster teams, with the divisions being ages 18-and-older in the women's division, a â€śyoung gunsâ€ť division for men ages 18 to 35 and a â€śold timersâ€ť division for ages 36 and older.

Carl Albert State College Lady Viking D. Brown, Â a 5-3 sophomore shooting/pointÂ guard from Norman signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the next two years with Campbell University, which is an NCAA Division I school. The Camels are a member of the Big South Conference, located in Buies Creek, N.C.
CASC women's coach Jeff Tadtman is excited for Brown to get the opportunity to play at the Division I level.
The LeFlore County Bass Club had its third open bass tournament of 2013 on Saturday at Wards Landing on Wister Lake. There were 14 boats filled with anglers who caught a combined 54 fish that weighed 113.98 pounds. Each fish averaged 2.11 pounds, and 10 limits were caught.
Brian â€śCuts Like a Knifeâ€ť Adams and Dwayne Leatherwood won the tournament as they hauled in 12.21 pounds of fish to earn $325. Among the fish they caught was Adams' big bass winner that weighed 5.54 pounds to earn him an extra $130.
The state has released the results for the controlled hunts. If you put in for one (or several) hunt(s), you can go to the Department of Wildlifeâ€™s web site to see if you were selected. In all my baseball craziness of the spring, I did not make time to sit down and do that, so I missed out. I hope you werenâ€™t like me.

Even though I missed out on the controlled hunts, I am not missing out on any fishing. Last weekend, I went to Lake Murray to surprise my cousin, Jason Sampson. His wife, Dawnita, asked us to come, so I could take Jason fishing for his birthday.
