BEGGS â€” The Panama Lady Razorbacks fast-pitch softball team split their four games over the weekend in the Beggs Festival.
The defending Class 2A state champions finished the weekend strong with two wins, beating Checotah 9-2 and host Beggs 6-4. Those came after Friday's setbacks as they lost 6-0 to Berryhill and 4-1 to Kellyville.
STIGLER â€” After the Talihina Lady Golden Tigers beat the Keota Lady Lions Saturday morning to reach the title game of the Stigler Tournament, the Lady Lions beat them twice by scores of 8-2 and 8-0 to land them as runners-up.
The Lady Golden Tigers (3-2) beat host Stigler to get to the winner's-bracket final.
The Pocola Lady Indians were third. They beat Stigler and got past Spiro 3-1 before losing to Keota in the loser's-bracket final.
The Lady Bulldogs fell 6-4 to Keota, then beat Cameron 11-1 before losing to Pocola.
CAMERON â€” The Cameron Yellowjackets baseball team ran its record to 3-0 with a doubleheader sweep Friday night over the McCurtain Bulldogs by scores of 11-3 and 9-1.
Buffalo Valley 10, Whitesboro 6: In Bufalo Valley, the Buffaloes rallied from a 4-3 deficit in the third inning with a seven-run third inning to take a 10-4 lead.
RED OAK â€” The Wister Wildcats baseball team got its first win of the fall season Friday afternoon with a 9-0 run-rule victory over the Rock Creek Mustangs. However, it ended up being their only win on the weekend as they lost 2-0 to Byng and 7-4 to host Red Oak on Saturday.
COLEMAN â€” The Leflore Savages baseball team suffered a pair of losses Friday in the Coleman Festival.
The Savages lost 9-1 to the Caney Cougars, then fell 10-0 to the host Coleman Wildcats. The Savages were to have played the Bennington Bears Saturday morning, but the Bears were a no-show.
Carl Albert State College Assistant Softball Coach Megan Young will give softball lessons at $25 per hour to girls up through age 18.

Friday Couple Scrambles will take place at 5:30 p.m. every Friday at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.

For fans wanting to get a sneak peak of the 2012 Poteau Pirates football team, tonight will be a golden opportunity.
The Pirates will have their Red-White Interteam Scrimmage beginning at 7 p.m. tonight at Costner Stadium. While there will not be a charge to get in, the team and Poteau Pirates Quarterback Club is requesting donations of body wash.
For starters, tonight's scrimmage will get some nerves out of the players' systems.
The Poteau Lady Pirates softball team ran its record to 3-0 on Friday with a 3-1 victory over the Broken Bow Lady Savages.
PARK HILL â€” After the Heavener Lady Wolves won both games in their Thursday home three-way with Sallisaw and Battiest, it was a rougher day on Friday at the Keys (Park Hill) Festival.
The Lady Wolves lost 5-3 to the Kansas Lady Comets, then fell 7-4 to the Westville Lady Yellowjackets.
It was a fine start to the home season for the Poteau Lady Pirates Thursday afternoon as they run ruled the Pryor Lady Tigers 8-0 in five innings in their home opener.
