Lady Vikings, Vikings split OCAC openers with Western

Behind strong defensive pressure, which forced the Western Oklahoma State College Lady Pioneers into 27 turnovers, the Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings won their Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference opener 71-51 Monday night at Mick Thompson Fieldhouse.
Despite getting 29 points from Adrion Webber, the Vikings dropped their conference opener 78-77 in overtime to the Pioneers in the second game of Monday night's OCAC doubleheader.

New PKMS girls basketball coach likes new job, teams

When Sheila Jones left Pansy Kidd Middle School's girls basketball teams to take the Cameron Lady Yellowjackets coaching job, it left a void with the Lady Raiders teams.
When Rachel Morgan heard about the opening and the quality of players, it was a chance she could not pass up.

The Oklahoma State University 2011 Christmas Baseball Camps will be next month at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium in Stillwater.
The 2011 Cowboy Youth Christmas Camp Sessions for those who are in grades two through eight will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 10 for the first session, and the same time for the second session on Dec. 11. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. both days.
The camp cost is $200.

The Boys and Girls Club of LeFlore County will have a basketball tournament for boys and girls in grades three through six Dec. 3-4 at the Pansy Kidd Middle School Gym.
Cost to enter is $100 per team. Registration forms are available at the LCBGC office at 205 Dewey Avenue, Suite 6 in downtown Poteau. For additional information, call David Deaton at (918) 647-7136.
