GANS — Arkoma girls basketball coach Connie Ray, as did Keota’s and Gans’ girls coaches, liked how they were all put into the same Class A District Tournament since all three teams had 10-plus wins. It meant that one team was going to be eliminated on Friday night, and that team was the Lady Mustangs.
The Keota Lady Lions used a strong third quarter to rally for a 50-47 victory over the Lady Mustangs, who end the season with a record of 13-10.
The season also came to an end for the Mustangs as they lost 52-33 to the Gans Grizzlies. The Mustangs finished the season at 9-14.

WHITESBORO — As it says in the first line of “A Tale of Two Cities,” “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times ...”

The Bulldogs won their title game, beating the Eagletown Eagles 63-50. However, the Lady Eagles spoiled the Lady Bulldogs' title hopes with a 54-36 victory.
