NORMAN — For Oklahoma Sooners fans who were in attendance at Saturday's Senior Day home finale against Iowa State at Owen Field, I'm sure they might have been getting a bit worried as the first half wore on, despite all being well with a 48-10 victory.
DURANT — Collin County, Texas, finished the game on a decisive 24-7 run which proved to be the difference for the Lone Star State team in a 76-54 win over the Carl Albert State College Vikings on Friday night at Southeastern Oklahoma State University's Bloomer Sullivan Fieldhouse.
The Lady Vikings and Vikings both played on Monday night on the road against the Bacone College junior varsity in Muskogee.

When August 2013 rolled around, there was enthusiasm like no other for every single LeFlore County high school football team — as well as every high school team in Oklahoma and the entire country. In getting ready for the season, every single team in America had that one goal — winning state.
For the five county teams — Poteau (Class 4A), Spiro (Class 3A), Panama (Class 2A), Talihina (Class A) and Arkoma (Class C) — who made the playoffs, when they began postseason play Friday night they were among a select few in their respective class who had a shot at the gold ball.

For the second straight fall fast-pitch softball season, the Panama Lady Razorbacks have an All-Stater.
After Taylor Eaves made All-State last fall, shortstop Stephanie Barcheers did so this fall.
Barcheers, who was a member of the All-LeFlore County Tournament Team, hit .418 with 23 runs batted in and a fielding percentage of .975 as the Lady ’Backs got to the Class 2A regional final before losing to Colbert after making state the previous two seasons — and winning it all in 2011.
LEFLORE — The Leflore Savages maintained perfection on the season as they defeated the Pittsburg Panthers 73-55 Friday night on Nadine Carpenter Court.
The Savages jumped out to a 19-9 lead after a period and never looked back.
Cameron 84, Hartford, Ark., 41: Thursday night in Hartford, the Yellowjackets, winners of three straight, jumped out to a 24-15 lead after a period. However, leading 61-41 after three quarters, the ’Jackets pitched a shutout in the fourth period, outscoring Hartford 24-0.
HARTFORD, Ark. — The goose egg left the win column for the Cameron Lady Yellowjackets on Thursday night as they got their first win of the season, beating Hartford, Ark., 45-34.
The Lady ’Jackets doubled Hartford 8-4 in the first quarter en route to a 23-15 halftime lead. Then, Cameron outscored Hartford 22-19 in the second half.
It was a banner Poteau Tournament for the Poteau Youth Wrestling Club on Nov. 9 at Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse. The club had 47 members place.
The tournament itself had 17 teams represented in the tournament and nearly 200 wrestlers in the five different divisions of action.
Of the 47 members who placed for the local organization, 12 of them took home the gold in their respective weight classes. In Division I, Coy Fredrickson (40 pounds), Drew Moro (43 pounds), Hayden Moro (52 pounds) and Mason Stone (60 pounds) won their respective titles in their weight classes.
