There will be only indoor events this weekend at the Kiamichi All-Star Classic at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton.
Due to this week's rains and the potential of more on the way by this weekend, the softball and baseball games have been postponed until June 1.
The softball game will be at 2 p.m. June 1 at EOSC, while the baseball game will be at 4 p.m.
However, the Kiamichi All-Star Classic basketball games will still go on as scheduled at EOSC's Claud C. Dunlap Fieldhouse.
The girls game will be at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at approximately 7 p.m.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Mike Trout even surprised himself in adding to his growing list of impressive big league achievements.
Trout, who is the nephew of City of Poteau Water Department employee Charles Busonick and his wife, Sandra, hit for the cycle and drove in five runs, Josh Hamilton celebrated his 32nd birthday with a homer and a triple his first two times up, and Howie Kendrick also went deep in the Los Angeles Angels’ 12-0 rout of the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night.

In the Civil War, the North prevailed over the South. However, in Tuesday night's LeFlore County All-Star Basketball Games at Carl Albert State College's Mick Thompson Fieldhouse, it was the South that rose over the North — rather convincingly.
The South boys routed the North 83-44, while the South girls defeated the North 67-40.
For 10 days, the Poteau Pirates football team has gone through spring drills. The Pirates will cap off the 10-day period with Thursday night's Red-White Spring Game at 6:30 p.m. at Costner Stadium.
“Things have gone well,” said first-year Poteau coach Greg Werner. “We scrimmaged Monday, and we kind of saw where we're at. [Tuesday] we didn't get to get outside because of the weather, but we were inside watching film. We got outside [Wednesday]. As with any year, we're behind where I thought we'd be behind, but we're ahead in other areas. So, it's all about getting things on the same page.”
I have seen here lately on Facebook the Throw Back Thursday, where someone will post an old picture from the past. Well, I am doing it Wister style this week.
While picking up something to drink at Wister Food Market, I bumped into my high school history teacher, Richard Baldwin. We had a nice visit, and it brought back several memories, which gave me the idea for my column this week.
Mother Nature's wrath is being felt once more this spring.
Besides the devastating tornado which hit Moore on Monday, all the rain which came through Monday and Tuesday has totally washed out the 2013 Southeastern Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association North All-Star tryouts and subsequent all-star game slated for tonight at McAlester's Mike Deak Field.
The first annual Carl Albert State College/Poteau High School Softball Camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday at the Poteau High School softball field.
The camp was to have started today, but due to Monday and Tuesday rain showers, the field was unfit to have the camp begin today.
Cost is $40 per camper. If a family has more than one child, it will be $35 a child, and a group discount of $35 a child for teams that send at least five or more off a team.

Five lucky local high school baseball players received good news on Tuesday that they were named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-Region 6 Baseball Team.
Poteau’s Jay Werner and Blake Johnson made the Large East Team, while Wister duo Tyler Gibson and Colby Turnipseed along with Talihina’s Trevor Crone made the Small East.
All five are in line to be selected to the 2013 All-State East teams, which will be made known at a later date.
