OU threw away Bedlam this year

December 10, 2014

The pop music group Genesis had a song in 1986 called “Throwing it All Away.”
Here 28 years later, that’s basically what the Oklahoma Sooners did in their 38-35 overtime loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday at Owen Field.
It was clear the Sooners (8-4 overall, 5-4 in Big 12 play) controlled the game until that last minute of regulation when OSU’s Tyreek Hill returned a punt 92 yards for a touchdown for the Cowboys (6-6, 4-5) to tie the game at 35. That was a play that would not have happened had coach Bob Stoops not made the decision he did.

December 9, 2014

NORMAN — The Oklahoma State Cowboys entered Saturday afternoon's Bedlam game at a chilly, drizzly Owen Field on a five-game losing streak. In order to become bowl eligible, the Pokes had to beat their Bedlam rival Oklahoma Sooners on their field — and that's exactly what they did.
