December 13, 2013

Last weekend's icy storm caused moderate damage to the roof of the Talihina High School building, leaving a classroom ceiling caved in and unsafe conditions in two hallway restrooms.

I hope y'all made it through the ice storm

December 13, 2013

I hope you all made it through last week's ice storm. We watched a lot of football, and we went sledding every afternoon. Jarrett Lilley won the long-distance contest for 2013 this year, followed by Jon Pickel — but Jon did use special additives on his sled's bottom like Clark Griswold to aid his speed and distance. At Jon's age, you got to do everything you can to gain an advantage!

Gun season has passed again, and I had a good one this year — even though I did not kill a big buck. I did get to hunt with friends and family, which is very important to me.
Have a great week!
