SHAWNEE — Behind Kyndall Dudley's 22 points and 18 points each from Connor Brooks and Dalen Qualls, the third-seeded Northern Oklahoma College-Enid Jets dominated the 10th-seeded Carl Albert State College Vikings in their 102-68 win in the 2012 NJCAA Region II Tournament semifinal game Saturday night at Oklahoma Baptist University's Noble Complex.
The Vikings did make some noise on Friday afternoon as they shocked the second-seeded Connors State College Cowboys in their 71-64 win.
Saturday night's loss ends the Vikings' season at 7-24.
MULDROW — While the Pocola Indians baseball team went on the road to face the Muldrow Bulldogs, Pocola's bats seemingly did not as the ’Dogs downed the Indians 7-1 on Friday afternoon.
HEAVENER — Last year, the Heavener Wolves soccer team was a very young but quick and talented team. The Wolves again should be considered on of the elite teams in the district, and the showdown between the Wolves and Poteau Pirates later in the year could be for the entire ball of wax.

Tessie McFadden, 91, of Oklahoma City died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, in Oklahoma City.
Services were held Monday at the Talihina Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Talihina, under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Dorothy Mae Frizzell, 87, of Heavener died Monday, March 12, 2012, in Tulsa. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Heavener First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home.
Diana Wood, 62, of Talihina died Thursday, March 8, 2012, in Talihina.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Talihina School Auditorium with Kenny Bryant officiating. Burial will be in the Old Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Steve Linker, 53, of Muse died Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Tulsa. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in the Whitesboro School Auditorium with Scott Horstman officiating. Burial will be in Laura-McGee Cemetery, Buffalo Valley, under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Kristi Ferguson, 25, of Pocola died Friday, March 9, 2012. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, at Christian Grove Freewill Baptist Church under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home, Spiro.
State Superintendent Janet Barresi was in LeFlore County on Friday to tour a local school that has taken on a big project, she also spent time with Superintendent's from all over the county.
Barresi was invited to tour the Howe school district by Howe Superintendent Scott Parks. Parks wanted to show case a special 10 week project taken on by the Howe High School. This semester, the 147 students from freshmen up through seniors are undertaking “Project Lion Pride” — which is a way for students to show their feelings for their school.
A Talihina man may face murder charges after a woman he reportedly mortally wounded passed away Friday.
Kristi D. Ferguson, 24, of Pocola, suffered second and third degree burns to more than 80 percent of her body on Febraury 18, when Donnie L. Harris Jr., 29, used an ignitable substance to set her on fire. Ferguson was being treated for burns at an Oklahoma City Hospital when she succumbed to her injuries.
