My boys and I have been hitting the lake on my boat in the last couple of weeks. We have caught several fish, and had one heck of a time.
Paula joined us last week on a trip to the Poteau River. We launched at Potts Landing at Wister Lake, and headed back up the river. The boys were catching fish left and right, and I was struggling to catch anything.
That all changed as the evening time drew near. We headed back to fish a stretch near the boat ramp. On my third cast, I hooked a three-pound, 12-ounce bass that gave me bragging rights for the day.
